Everyone knows the charming Courteney Cox, who rose to fame after her hit NBC sitcom ‘Friends.’ After this show, Cox went on to star in multiple projects; she took the role of Gale Weathers in the horror film franchise ‘Scream,’ and as Jules Cobb in the sitcom ‘Cougar Town.’ So, it is safe to say that Courteney Cox is a name that many people know and love. While the beloved actress often stars in sitcoms and light-hearted content, this time she found herself in a horror scene right out of a movie!
Cox On Jimmy Kimmel Live
No one would have thought about the whole ordeal until Cox spilled the beans in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live. She opened up about selling her L.A. estate because of some paranormal activity that happened, and it was legendary musician Carole King who told her about the haunting. She stated that King visited her home, and mentioned that a divorce had taken place, which apparently went sour. Cox paid no mind to it until she herself heard her friends mention a woman sitting on the edge of the bed.
The Haunted L.A. Estate
Though Courteney was not really convinced by what King had to say, she let the musician hold a séance in the home. I mean, who wouldn’t allow Carole King to hold a séance. Despite the séance, Cox was not planning on moving out; it was until she met the UPS driver.
Cox, in her interview with Jimmy Kimmel, went on to disclose that she was visited by a UPS driver who asked her, “Do you know that this house is haunted?” Cox replied by saying, “yeah, why? Why do you think that?” It was then the UPS driver disclosed that he saw someone standing behind her. That was the moment Courteney knew that she was moving out soon!
Cox claims that she was not able to sleep in that house after the UPS driver incident. She even started experiencing first-hand paranormal activities. Despite Kimmel’s attempt to persuade Cox into believing that ghosts are not real, Cox had already decided that she was moving out as she did not have anything to do with that house or with ghosts that lived there.
Whether you believe in ghosts or not, should not the ghosts also pay the rent if they live in the same place as humans? If not, that is discriminatory, no?
