For the motorboat fandom, the Azimut yacht is a famous name that has thrived for more than a few decades. Known throughout the Atlantic for its classy design, the brand is also reputed for its one-of-a-kind performance on the water.
The Azimut yacht is a flagship of the Azimut-Bennetti Group, one of the world’s largest yachting businesses. They’ve released several memorable versions of the Azimut over the years, but below are some of the best and most impressive yachts they’ve ever created:
Azimut 42
Created in 1999, the Azimut 42 is one of the older versions on this list, but it has lasted so well and so long that it deserves a mention. According to motorboat reviewer Gregg Copp, the interior textiles of the 42 give it a dated look, but the exterior is a different story; it has aged very nicely.
The upper helm of the flybridge is one of the most unique things about this vessel, and people today will still appreciate the exhilarating open-air experience it provides. As for the lower helm, the visibility is excellent, although there isn’t much standing room.
Azimut Atlantis 34
This is one of the smallest Azimuts ever built, but according to motorboat reviewer Nick Burnham, the minimalist touch is one of the great things about it. At 33 feet, it still offers luxury, and riders with a defined taste will undoubtedly appreciate it.
As Burnham describes, the 34 does a fantastic job of keeping to the outstanding quality of the Azimut brand while also fairing against boats that don’t quite match its standard. It’s a tricky task, but the reviewer believes it passes with flying colors.
Azimut S6
Adding prestige to its class, the Azimut S6 won a Motor Boat Award in 2021. The Motor Boat Award represents a golden standard in the commercial marine world, so this feat influenced the S6’s reputation as one of the most famous boats in Azimut’s latest collection.
The yacht’s structure is richly fitted with super-light material in the form of carbon fiber. As a result, it has a full-load displacement of fewer than 30 tonnes and a top speed of over 35 knots.
Azimut 62S
After launching its S range of big sports cruisers in 2004, Azimut scored a big hit in 2006 with the Azimut 62S.
The yacht accelerates from zero to 30 knots in 24 seconds, which is a considerable brag and a feat that impressed motorboat reviewer Alan Harper. Not disappointing when it comes to luxury, the 62 boat sports some lavish accommodation too.
